Bennett News & Announcements
Members of the Onteora Central School District community are invited to a special presentation to learn more about the proposed $70.5 million tax-neutral capital project, which will appear as Proposition 2 on the May 20 school budget vote ballot. District administrators will be joined by architectural, engineering, and construction professionals on Thursday, April 24, at 6 PM in the Onteora Middle/High School Cafeteria for the presentation, which will include a Q&A session.
Bennett staff has dubbed Fridays as “Fun Fridays!” Children and staff have the option to wear thematically based clothing for the fun of dressing up and show school spirit. It is not a mandatory activity, but we certainly enjoy the spirit of being silly and adding to the celebratory spirit!
Thank you to everyone who came out for “Meet, Greet, and Eat”! Once again, the Onteora community showed just how special it is—what an incredible turnout!
Ted Keegan (Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, Camelot) and Ann Brown (The Sound of Music, Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man)—both local to our area—came to support our talented cast and crew. Before the show, they generously shared advice and encouragement with our young performers, making the night even more unforgettable. What an inspiring moment for our students to be cheered on by Broadway professionals!
We are writing to inform you about an ongoing nationwide issue involving racist text messages being sent to individuals, including students, from unknown sources. These messages are offensive and harmful, and authorities are actively investigating their origins.
