Ariel McGrath, Principal

Mrs. McGrath is a New York State certified school administrator with a decade of educational experience dedicated to serving the Onteora Central School District. A lifelong member of the Onteora community, she is a proud district graduate and educator who brings a deep understanding of the district's values and commitment to student success. Prior to becoming principal of Bennett Elementary, she served as a Pre-K–12 Speech-Language Pathologist throughout the district and most recently as the Interim Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services.

Mrs. McGrath's leadership philosophy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and strong relationships. She is committed to fostering a school culture where every child feels valued and supported, and where families and staff work together in partnership. While prioritizing students' academic, social, and emotional growth, she also believes in maintaining high academic expectations and using data to inform instruction, ensuring that every student receives the support and challenge needed to reach their full potential. As New York enters an exciting new chapter in education through the New York Inspires initiative, Mrs. McGrath is committed to fostering innovative teaching and meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for lifelong success.
